The Mood Foods Story…

From as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for food.  We are all individuals. We are all unique. We all therefore have different ways in which we all want to be healthy and to live our lives to their full potential. There is so much advice on healthy living, diets, meal planning etc it can be hard to know what’s best for us. We all have a basic right as humans to enjoy a balanced nutritional diet and to sustain optimum health and well being (psychologically, physically, emotionally and spiritually) through different food groups. Eating healthy shouldn’t be about cost but in about knowing what foods to feed yourself and why.

Live Music - Ken O'Duffy, with support from Leonardo's Bicycle

We're very excited to announce an intimate Frome performance by acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Ken O’Duffy, with support from our lovely local duo Leonardo’s Bicycle to give us all our favourite 60’s and 70’s covers.

Over the last couple of years Ken has been playing solo gigs, honing the songs which will appear on his album, due for release in August 2019: ‘The Last Night at the Gentlemen’s Club’ (available on Rosemary Grove Records).
The songs on the album were written and performed by Ken with assistance from Ingmar Kiang (Bob Marley, U2, Damien Dempsey) who recorded and mixed the album at his Hey Nineteen studio in Greystones, County Wicklow.

Ken will be doing a short tour in the UK this August to promote the new album, starting with a UK album launch show at The Islington in London on August 22nd. The very next day he'll be playing for us upstairs at The Three Swans!

Tickets are £6 in advance (available from the pub) or £8 on the night. This charge is purely to keep Ken on the road and put a roof over his head as he travels the UK.

Frome Festival Drama Production - Monstrous

Hera is angry, but she's been trying her best to get past it. Then again, when you're an Ancient Greek goddess, being filled with an unquenchable wrath comes with the territory. Perhaps it's time to have a little vent... but is the world ready for 3000 years worth of anger? Written and performed by Alexandra Ricou, Monstrous is a one-woman show exploring the nature of female rage in the post-Me Too world. Alexandra previously performed in Bethany Heath's acclaimed show, Definitely Louise, at the Frome Festival in 2018. Monstrous will also feature in the Swindon Fringe and Bath Fringe 2019.

The Frome Independent Market

The first Sunday of the month sees the return of The Frome Independent (weather permitting!). The town will be closed off to allow for the arrival of a huge variation of market stalls - antiques, clothes, arts and crafts, food, and lots lots more! Come along and see what you can find, and pop in to see us from midday for a refreshment along the way.
